Beautiful view from the large apartment Always nice to watch the sunsets/sunrises from the balcony and eat breakfast with a beautiful view Plenty of things to do, and a grocery store on site Very high up the hill which makes it a bit of harder drive from place to place but worth it for the quiet Every two days they would come make the bed and change the towels

Loved it would recommend

We loved our favorite employee Martin. He really does his job with a smile on his face. You see he enjoys his job really hard worker!

The bathroom door was a bit stuck and broken. Was the only issue we had.

Exceptional

The view towards the ocean was magnificent, the cleaning was excellent. We had everything we wanted if we wanted to cook ourselves. The village provides a lot of facilities: restaurant, pool, tennis court, spa, sauna and thematic evenings with live music.

The only minus was the fact we had a few ants in our kitchen and we had to be careful what food we had left unattended.

The living space was very good. The pools - very good. The staff were all friendly and engaging. We liked the tennis, billiards and table tennis. The view was lovely.

Great place with amazing view, nice equipment of apartament . Swimming pool with second heated one. WiFi working well. Free parking, nice breakfast.

Beds could be more comfortable. It is far away so better to have car here.

Lovely view, absolute calm and wonderful family retreat

Lovely location with amazing views, you can admire both sunrise and sunset. Spacious and well appointed two bedroom apartment, with all what you need. Super comfortable beds and a good variety of pillows (very appreciated!). We stayed in December so the temperature was perfect without heating. Lovely and helpful personnel. A lot of free activities for the whole family (indoor and outdoor children playground, ping pong, pool, board games, books and even dvd to borrow!). We loved the monopoly in the apartment :-) nice mini market and good bar.

There was no washing machine in the apartment. The heated pool felt still quite cold (still do not understand why safety rule requires no more than 29C in the big pool). The restaurant was good but rather pricey.

Exceptional! What an amazing retreat!! Thank you, Village Cabo Girao!

The location is absolutely amazing, there are truly stunning views from there. The hotel has a lot of facilites on offer, including a spa and various other activities which we enjoyed a lot. The swimming pool was heated which was also nice (being there in November). It was just 2 of us but we had a huge appartment with a terrace overlooking the ocean which was incredible. This was really an amazing retreat! I'd definitely go there again! Huge thanks to the entire staff who were taking care of us.

We wished the hotel bar was open for a bit longer - it was closing at 6 pm most of the days and that's when we usually only came back from our daily activities - the bar was a great place to chill so having it opened for a bit longer would have been amazing.

Fantastic stay

it's great property especially for the families. There is everything for a perfect vacation - a lot of indoor and outdoor games for children, pools, market and restaurant in the property. The staff is kind and friendly. In the lobby there is small library and DVDs for all ages and tastes, which could watch in the apartment. My kids didn't see before the DVD player and were so excited to watch every evening different movie. The apartment is big and cozy. There is everything you need for a pleasant stay. Every apartment has its parking lot.

It's far from Funchal, some cities and tourist walking paths in the north and the east of the island. You need a car if you choose to stay there. BUT it is fantastic place for the families.

Very Good

The view and location were spectacular! Inside pool and sauna were a plus. Nice garden to relax and big sunny balcony.

I missed some kitchen utensils and the laundry is shared which means I had to wait quite a lot to use the machines.

Exceptional

Spacious apartament (we stayed in 2 bedroom unit), ideal for families. Well equipped kitchen (but don't expect to find any tea,coffee, sugar or anything like that there), which was joined with a cosy living room, 2 bathrooms, spacious balcony. Gorgeous view! Our kids loved to try the minigolf, option to pick a dvd movie, and especially the indoor pool (which also has an outdoor section). We came at the end of October, the place did not feel overcrowded, and most of the time the pool was quite empty, some late evenings just us swimming there like in a private spa :) Did not try the restaurant, but the pool bar had some reasonably priced and actually tasty dishes on the menu. We also loved that there was a laundry room with a dryer. Overall, it was a great value for money. The place felt very calm, quiet, and relaxing. Just keep in mind that the location is quite high up, and the roads to get up there can get pretty steep. So make sure to stock up on groceries before driving up there to avoid extra trips. There's a small supermarket but with limited assortment and short working hours.

I would recommend this place!

- The place itself it’s amazing wonderful views from the bar. - self late check-in - friendly and prepared staff at reception - good bar service - Great location for exploring Madeira with a car - fully equipped kitchen - Landry service ( you can buy the soap at reception) - free access to the spa ( it was great for us due to the heavy rain ) - nice swimming pool - lovely place we will recommend it

- The restaurant food isn’t good at all, we tried it once and we regret it. There are better restaurants around cheaper and testier, also the restaurant service it is not good either, looks like they are rushing and not really care of you. I would suggest some improvements! - The apartment could have been better cleaned and refreshed during the stay ( no soap, no change of towels, no change of bedding in 7 days ) - Two jacuzzi would have been great because if the place get fully booked you will not be able to use it. - only two splits works in the jacuzzi so only one person can use it at the time
